Sharday Turner is a part of the 2020 senior class. She is a member of the National Honor Society, JHS Student Council and President of the Spanish Club. Sharday Turner is also a very active volunteer here in the Jefferson community. The Bulldog Beacon got a chance to sit down and ask Ms. Turner some questions. Here is what she had to say.
Bulldog Beacon: What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Turner: My greatest achievement is being an important role model for our community and the younger children of Jefferson.
Bulldog Beacon: Who are your heroes in real life and fiction?
Turner: My mother is my biggest hero. I admire her strength as a woman and courage. My biggest hero in fiction is Tchalla from Black Panther; he cared more about people than his status.
Bulldog Beacon: What is your favorite movie and why?
Turner: My favorite movie is “The Help” because of the strength the women held in that movie.
Bulldog Beacon: What is your greatest fear?
Turner: My greatest fear has always been failing. I strive for the best and failure is not an option.
Bulldog Beacon: Which living person do you most admire?
Turner: My mother
Bulldog Beacon: If you had the ability to change one thing in the world to make it a better place, what would it be and why?
Turner: If I had to change one thing in this world it would be to end poverty and end the pain that people may experience.
Bulldog Beacon: What is the quality you most like in a friendship?
Turner: I like a compatible friendship that is honest and loving.
Bulldog Beacon: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Turner: I see myself being a corporate lawyer, working in a nice law firm or for a company making six figures.
Bulldog Beacon: Which talent would you most like to have?
Turner: I would like to be able to dance. Honestly, I have two left feet.
Bulldog Beacon: What is your dream college and why?
Turner: My dream college was Baylor University, but life had different plans for me. I will be attending Sam Houston.
