JEFFERSON – Senior Madison Bristow was named one of the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ Girls Academic All-State members in the 3A division.

While Bristow had a rough start at the beginning of the season because of an ACL, Medial, and Lateral Meniscus tear, she explains the importance of this title.

“[Earning this honor] makes me feel great especially since I have not been able to actually play this year. It means that all the hard work I put forth in the classroom and while doing physical therapy really paid off. I would like to thank my parents, coaches, and teachers for helping me inside and out of the classroom to help me achieve everything that I have,” Bristow told the Beacon
