Services for Mr. Clarence “Snake” Bonner, 89, of Jefferson, will be 12 p.m., Saturday, March 28 at Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lewis and Walker Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the Lewis and Walker Funeral Home Chapel from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, March 27.

*A Time to be Born*
Clarence was born August 20, 1930 to Ida Mae and Otis Bonner, Sr.
*A Time to Plant*
He confessed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mt Ira Baptist church where he served as deacon.
*A Time to Love*
He united in holy matrimony to Mildred Marie Sims on June 27, 1959. They were married for 61 years.
*A Time to Kill*
He was an avid hunter of deer, squirrels and rabbits for many years.
*A Time to Reap*
He worked for TJ Blackburn Syrup Works for a number of years. He also worked for Southwestern Electric Power Company where he retired in 1994.
*A Time to Weep*
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Otis, Charles, Fred, and Willie James and his sisters Velma and Norma Jean.
*A Time of Peace*
He loved spending time outside gardening, building and working with his hands.
*A Time to Die*
He departed this life on Wednesday, March 18.
*A Time to Mourn*
Clarence leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mildred; his sons Larry (Traska), Robert, Ronnie (Katherine), David (Sharon), and Terry (LaQuisha) all of Fort Worth; his daughters Gladys (Dave) of Las Vegas, Nev., Della of Dallas, and Tina of Arlington; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
