115th DISTRICT COURT ACTION | Woman Gets 8 Years in Prison for DWI; Charge Against Sex Offender Dismissed

JEFFERSON – Judge Dean Fowler, 115th Judicial District, handed down an eight-year sentence in the Texas Department of Corrections Tuesday to Cindy Morrow, 51 of Atlanta.

Morrow pled guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more offense.

Only ten people were allowed inside Marion County’s District Courtroom during the proceedings because of new court rules prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic.Lonesome Dove
District Attorney Angela Smoak announced to the court that charges of failure to comply with a sex offender’s duty to register against Robert Alan Trumbature would be dismissed. Trumbature had been scheduled for a bench trial Tuesday.

Trials for Christopher Dewayne Hicks, burglary of a habitation, and Anthony Charles Williams, evading arrest or detention, were continued.
