Gretel-and-Hansel-poster-600x8890809By Bob Palmer

If you seek the comfort of a beloved fairytale, don’t watch “Gretel & Hansel.”

The original Brothers Grimm take on “Hansel and Gretel” had enough dark edges, but this movie will plunge you deeper into the evil woods.

If a good scream is what you seek, however, the lush filmography will keep you entertained while you wonder why the plot takes a path even a deer would have trouble following.

The film is directed by Oz Perkins, produced by Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Dan Kagan, and the screenplay is by Rob Hayes(a subscription to the Jimplecute is required to continue reading this article).
