With two regular season games left and a record of 14-11, the Jefferson girls basketball team is looking toward the playoffs, and senior player Mackenzie “Two Points” Jordan said their goal lies beyond the district level.

“Our goal is to make it to the state playoffs, and we know it won’t be easy,” Jordan said.

Jordan, #2, is a guard, and she also plays volleyball. She said getting along is not an issue at all, and the team’s energy is great.

“Any one of us can come through in clutch moments since we’re all capable of doing the same thing,” Jordan said.

The last two games of the regular season are February 7 and 11 against Hughes Springs and Daingerfield, respectively. Then the team will play in the district playoffs, and hopefully, on to state.
