Defendant Fails to Show for Jury Trial, Arrest Warrant Issued

JEFFERSON – LaCharles Neal, 43, Jefferson, was scheduled to stand trial before a Marion County jury Monday, but failed to appear in court, officers say.

District Judge Robert Rolston, 276th Judicial District, issued a warrant for Neal’s arrest on a charge of failure to appear without bond.

Neal was scheduled to face charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, deadly conduct – discharge of a firearm – and possession of a prohibited weapon.
