It’s not the most ideal football weather to be playing while it is 40 degrees and raining. The Dawgs ventured to the Atlanta Rabbit burrows on Friday and fell short by 4 points making the final score, Jefferson 24 and Atlanta 28.

On the offensive side, Kylan Thomas (#5) passed for a total of 134 yards, scoring one touchdown by passing it to receiver Christian Shepard (#12). Rushing wise, Dee Black (#21) ran 174 yards and Thomas 55 yards scoring a touchdown. Kenneth Bell (#28) was able to push it in the endzone from the 2 yard mark for a Dawg touchdown.

For defense the Dawgs had moves by senior Di’mauntrez Haggerty (#22) leading the Dawg pack with 11 total tackles, 4 assists, and 2 tackles for loss.Thomas followed right behind with 8 total tackles.

Special teams wise, kicker Landon Fuquay (#18) was 100% with 3 P.A.T.s (point after touchdown) total.

The Dawgs will go up against the undefeated Hooks Hornets on Friday November 1, which is also Senior Night with senior festivities starting at 6:45 p.m.
