Pierce Sentenced to Prison

Daniel E. Pierce, III

From Staff Reports

JEFFERSON – District Judge Robert Rolston approved a motion Friday to revoke the probation of Daniel E. Pierce, III.

Pierce had received an eight-year probated sentence in January for tampering with evidence in the wake of the discovery of his starving dogs chained to an abandoned school bus last fall. Video of the dogs became a social media storm.

Pierce again achieved notoriety after he failed to attend required probation meetings, becoming one of Marion County’s unserved felony warrants.

Texas DPS officers arrested Pierce in Marshall and returned him to Marion County.

Pierce acted as his own attorney during the two-hour hearing which included the calling of witnesses.

  1. Sorry but his treatment of the dogs an his lack of remorse, for anything that he has done is inexcusable….He is supposed to Serve an Protect, That Means Everything When you Take Your Job an Duties on an off duty. You Are Responsible for Your Actions…
In my opinion, his actions are inexcusable an Disrespectful.

  2. I guess they had to throw somebody under the bus! Hmmm…
I guess the rules doesn’t apply to everyone, just some folks who aren’t having a WEDDING!
