Jimplecute: Please give a one or two sentence reaction to each of the following seasons:

Volleyball: Falon Jones is a good young coach. She has brought increased the excitement and energy to the game, and she’s a team player.

Football: We started the season off by going 11-0. We did so even after upgrading our schedule by adding three class 4A teams to our pre-district schedule. The senior leadership was outstanding on this team, but there is a lot of young talent in the fold.

Girls Basketball: They continued their tradition of state playoff appearances. We are looking forward to an exciting year with eight returning letterwinners with playoff experience.

Boys Basketball: The boys were district co-champions. We will return our entire varsity squad. Coach Dowell did a great job of bringing his young talent along.

Baseball: The Bulldogs were a state playoff team. This year’s team was led by the seven seniors. They will be missed, but they have raised the level of expectations by going to the playoffs.

Softball: We were fighting for a playoff spot all the way till the last week of the season. We only lose two starters. Hannah Welch is a huge loss.

Boys Track: We had seven state qualifiers. We are very proud of the senior leadership from TQ Jackson and Tybo Williams.

Girls Track: We were young and exciting. We have several area qualifiers.

Power lifting: We had a small group, but we are building for the future.

Jimplecute: Where do you expect to see the most improvement in 2019-20?

JIMMERSON: Our overall athleticism should show great improvement in the coming academic year. Coach Michael Downs really does a great job of developing our athletes with our strength and conditioning program. We also return some very talented young people. We also encourage our students to play several sports.
