A memorial service for Wayne Lyn Bullard will be held Saturday, April 6 at 2 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Jefferson, Texas.
Reverend Jeff Taylor will officiate at the service. Lyn was born on December 25, 1949 In Shreveport, Louisiana to Jack Bullard and Lucille Blackburn Bullard and passed away on March 17, 2019 in Houston, Texas. He grew up in Jefferson, Texas and was a member of the 1968 Jefferson High School graduating class. Lyn participated in many school activities and clubs plus won many accolades such as Junior Favorite, Runner Up Best All Around Junior, Best Attitude, and Class Favorite. He played football at Jefferson High school for four years and was voted Cypress Valley All American and Best Blocker. His senior year they went all the way to State. Lyn attended Texas A & M at Commerce where he majored in Kinesiology.
He worked as a salesman traveling over several states for T J Blackburn Syrup Works for many years which was founded by his maternal grandfather. In his retirement years, he moved to Buffalo Wyoming where he enjoyed the beautiful countryside of the mountains. During the past few months, he had returned to Texas to live with his daughter in Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter Wendy Love Bullard and fiancée Christopher France of Houston, Texas; his son Marlin Bullard of Indianapolis, Indiana; his nephew Ryan Bullard of Jefferson, Texas; his nephew David Parker of Jefferson, Texas; and his two great nieces, Rebecka Chaline of Jefferson, Texas, Reanna Chaline of Jefferson, Texas and the mother of his children Kathy Bullard of Longview, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ronnie Bullard, his sister-in-law Mary Bullard, and his grandparents, T. J. Blackburn, Lurline Blackburn, J. C. Bullard and May Bullard.
