Jefferson High made Bulldog gymnasium a very uncomfortable place for visitors this season and Friday night was no exception.
Waskom High headed back east on I-20 with their tails between their legs and an 88-34 loss. JHS finished their home schedule with a perfect 8-0 mark. The Bulldogs led 15-2 only three minutes into the game. After four straight points by the visitors, the Dawgs would score the next twenty-three points to lead 38-6.
The teams traded a few baskets the next couple of minutes. The score was 42-13 when JHS would go on a 13-0 run to lead 55-13 at the break. Kevin Pinson had an amazing first half, scoring ten straight at one point.
The Dawgs led 69-20 after three periods and by as many as 59 points in the fourth. Jefferson is now 21-7 overall and 12-1 in district and has won four in a row.
Pinson had a team-high 27 points and 6 rebounds. Chrishon Hicks finished with 14 points and 3 blocks. Dee Black was in double-figures for the second straight game with 10 points. Lyrik Rawls had 9 points, 10 steals, and 7 assists. Freshman Jakardan Davidson scored 8, had 6 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block.
Carlos Jackson scored 9, Josh Thomas 5, Christian Shepard 4, and Kenneth Bell finished with 2 points. Jefferson finishes their regular season schedule on Tuesday at New Diana.
