Jefferson did not have any trouble on Thursday night in their opening game in the Redwater tournament. The Bulldogs beat Bowie by the score of 61-16, handing the Jackrabbits their worst loss of the young season. With the win, Jefferson runs their record to 2-1 and Bowie falls to 3-4.
The Bulldogs led over the Jackrabbits by the score of 21-4 after the first quarter and pushed their lead out to 36-7 at the half. Jefferson did not let up much in the second half either, outscoring their opponent 35-9 in the third and fourth quarters. It was a dominate performance for the Bulldogs after close contests in their first two games. Kevin Pinson scored 15 points, Chris Shepard 13, Chrishon Hicks 10, Lyrik Rawls 8, Josh Thomas 5, Kylan Thomas 4, Henry Hill 4, and Dee Black added 2 points.
Next up for Jefferson is more tournament play in Redwater, Texas. They have a game tonight against Bloomburg at 5 P.M. Then, the Bulldogs play against the host team Redwater at 8 P.M.
