Bulldogs Lose to Commerce, 57-48

The Jefferson Bulldog boys lost in Commerce on Tuesday night by the score of 57-49.

Coach Treston Dowell feels there is nothing to worry about losing to a team that had several more games under their belt.  “We are young and it is early,” he said after the game.

Jefferson led 11-10 after the first quarter, but after that the Tigers had their way.  The Bulldogs trailed by a half-time score of 27-20, and 40-32 at the end of three quarters.

Jefferson falls to 1-1 on the young season, while Commerce goes to 8-0.  Josh Thomas scored 14, Christian Shepard 12, and Chrishon Hicks 8, Kylan Thomas 7, Lyrik Rawls 5, and Henry Hill 2.

The next game is tournament play in Redwater starting on Thursday.
