From Staff Reports
Jefferson Tourism Director Kevin Godfrey gave Mayor Bubba Haggard his letter of resignation Wednesday.
The move followed what was reportedly a fractious Tourism Board meeting Tuesday where board President Tony Jones also resigned.
“I appreciate all of the support and help I received as tourism director from the people of Jefferson in our attempt to bring progressive tourism ideas here.” Godfrey said.
The Tourism Board meeting followed two City Council meetings where the tourism budget was discussed.
Godfrey’s resignation will be effective Dec. 4.
