Attention mind numbed movie patrons, you are about to leave the Summer Zone. You have survived the bombardment of action duds and kiddie shows.

Before you leave, however, you should correct one omission, so you won’t be left out of the conversation around the office Keurig and not have to kick yourself all winter.

You missed seeing a show with a 93 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating.

You passed on the largest grossing Pixar movie.

You wouldn’t spend $6 to see the third highest grossing animated film of all time ($1.143 billion).

Time is running out to see “Incredibles 2.”

showtimesA solid cast adds depth to a standard comedic formula of Mom saves the world while Dad stays home and plays househubby. This family of superheroes may be the most entertaining toon family since the “Jetsons.” You will find yourself enjoying the Brad Bird-directed show.

In “Incredibles 2” Helen/Elastigirl voiced by Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (Sarah Vowell) and Dash (Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life in a world where superheroes are outlawed.

The wealthy Deavor siblings of Devtech offer new hope with a bold project to rehabilitate the public image and legal status of Supers, with Elastigirl being assigned on point to be the shining example.

The transition is tough for everyone, made even tougher by baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again. As you will see, it is easier said than done, even when they’re all “Incredible.”

Much like its predecessor, 2 is delightful as an animated feature but really delightful as a superhero picture.

“Incredibles 2” is rated PG. The run time is 118 minutes. For showtimes see the Marshall Cinema ad on this page or on Jimplecute1848.com.
