Jefferson Economic Development Corporation directors modified their proposal to attract a major truck stop on US 59 to Jefferson when they met Monday.
After meeting with CEFCO’s Jason Krueger, directors voted to withdraw an earlier proposal in light of a reduced size of the project.
Another incentive plan was then developed.
Doug Thompson motioned to approve the modified JEDCO grant/loan request application with the change of adding “voluntary” next to the Equal Lender Compliance Data, Richard Turner seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.
Directors also agreed to take a secondary note position with Master Woodcraft.
Richard Turner motioned to enter into the Subordination of Deed of Trust to uphold the original agreement with Master Woodcraft Cabinetry, Matt Whitfield seconded. All voted in favor.
Directors also supported a motion by Robin Moore allowing her to contact former JEDCO Directors to inquire about previous records, gather any previous records if found and purchase a filing cabinet with a lock for storing JEDCO records.
