Whenever a group of people want to enjoy themselves, they will do it in spite of the weather, and the Krewe of Hebe and the residents and visitors alike still found a way.
Kelli Smith, Krewe President shared, “Considering the weather, it appears that we still had good turn-out for the festivities. I would estimate that there was around 30,000 people who attended over the weekend.”
People still lined the streets clambering for their share of beads, baubles, and candy.
They may have had to bundle up a little more and not worry about a “bad hair day.”
They enjoyed themselves in spite of the intermittent rain and the chilly temperatures.
Smith expressed that the entertainers seemed to be well received.
The temperatures Saturday night seemed to affect the crowd some. Arts and craft vendors and the other activities all reported a fairly good weekend.
Many of the Krewe seem to be catching up on some much-needed rest, but we will have more details to share next week.
