Martin Luther King Jr. Banquet will be held Monday evening, January 15, 2018, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. It is a semi-formal catered banquet and will be held at the Jefferson Community Center at 512 Haywood St. Tickets are still available.
Guest Speaker for the event is Charles Jordan, Constituent Service of Congressman John Ratcliffe.
Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) added Jordan, a Wounded Warrior Fellow, to the district staff. Jordan, a U.S. Army combat veteran, is serving as a constituent services liaison in the Texarkana office.
Charles Jordan, a veteran himself, has joined the Ratcliffe team to help ensure the best service to all constituents – and especially the veterans. With his hire, the staff now includes veterans of the U.S. Army, Air Force and Navy.
Prior to joining Ratcliffe’s staff, Jordan served in Operation Iraqi Freedom III from 2006 to 2007. He then served as a Military Technician for the DoD-USARC from 2009 to 2016. He was also deployed in support of Task Force Rita and Task Force Katrina. He said he felt called to join the military following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
