This week we lost a very popular columnist at the Jefferson Jimplecute. After an extended illness, Sherry McAdoo, whose article was eagerly anticipated each week with readers looking to see what favorite local recipes from Jefferson’s past, was lost to us. She’s probably already lining up her ingredients and recipes for the Christmas buffet in Heaven.
Most of us knew Sherry on a personal level as well as a professional level, and she will be missed by us all. She left behind some big shoes to fill, but we plan to continue her “What’s Cooking” with something similar that we can only hope will attain her popularity.
Join us in wishing her family and friends, old and new, our most sincere sympathy in the loss of this sweet soul.
Her son-in-law, Rodney Lebrun, furnished us with this picture of Sherry to use, showing us all just where she is resting now.
From all of us here at the Jimplecute, farewell and we will look forward to sampling some of your appetizing treats on the other side.
