Gray Community mourns loss of VFD Chief

The communities of Gray and Potter’s Point lost a central figure in their lives this week with the passing of Nancy Harrell Rogers following a brief battle with cancer.

As Chief of the Gray Volunteer Fire Department, she had served not only her own community, but in other parts of Marion County wherever and whenever she was needed.  She had been a very dedicated fire fighter and first responder, with no job being too difficult for her to tackle.

Thoughts and prayers will be with her husband, Charlie, and her family.

A memorial for Nancy will be held at a later date.
