East Texas Performing Arts will be sharing with our community and visitors a Jones, Hope, Wooten comedy entitled ‘Christmas Belles’, under the executive and artistic direction of board president, Sara Whitaker. Previous reviews include a description of revealing “A church Christmas program spins hilariously out of control!”
Performances will be held both weekends during the Candlelight Tour of Homes. During the first weekend, performances are available on Friday and Saturday, December 1 and 2, at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday Matinee on December 3 at 2:30 p.m. The next weekend, performances will be available on December 7, 8, and 9 at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with no matinee performance on Sunday.
First United Methodist Church offers several Candlelight activities over the next two weekends. Dinners will be offered on Saturday, Dec. 2 and 9, from 4:30-7:30 in the Church Fellowship Hall. Baked chicken on rice with cranberry sauce, green beans, bread, and dessert will be available for $10 per plate. For ten or more, please call 903-665-3268.
The First Methodist Church Youth Building located at 301 W. Henderson St. on the corner of Henderson and Line is the venue for their performances. Candlelight Docents receive $5 off the regular admission of $15 for the Sunday matinee. General Admission tickets are available for $15.
