Baddest Woodsman Winners

Chris Skaggs, Manager at Trico Lumber Company, reported the results the Saturday’s 3rd Annual “Baddest Woodsman” Contest. Each entrant brought or was provided a manual splitting tool of their choice. The contestants had to split 4 logs, each into 4 pieces; finishing with a total of 16 pieces. The contestant with the fastest time was named the ‘’BADDEST WOODSMAN IN EAST TEXAS”! It was a contest of not only speed, but strength, skill, and strategy.

Radio personality, James Duncan, from KMHT in Marshall, was on hand for a remote broadcast from the location on Highway 59, north of Jefferson.  Gifts were given out throughout day along with free hot dogs.
