Still Casting “The Glitter Girls”

Contributed by Marcia Thomas

The Opera House Theatre Players are still looking for at least two women and two men to complete casting for the upcoming world premiere production of “The Glitter Girls”.

Needed are ages 30s-50s for the women and one 20s-30s male (play a lawyer) and one 50s-70s male for supporting roles in the comedy that will be presented Nov. 16-17 and 18 at the Jefferson Playhouse. Applicants should call the director at the number listed below.

Also, being considered, are advance casting applications for the summer musical which will be produced next July 4th weekend. A major Broadway musical is being arranged that will require a young soprano voice lead and an older male lead that can sing some. Other supporting roles will also use some singing and acting in the costume musical which has been a world favorite since it appeared on the scene in the 1950’s. A title will be announced as soon as licensing is completed, and the show will require quite a few people for crowd scenes including some older children.

For more information contact the director Marcia Thomas at 903-665-2310 or email to JeffersonTheatre@aol.com.
