Power of the Word

revWho has power to heal the sick, raise the dead, save the sinner, give eternal life, give wisdom & knowledge, know your thoughts, and your plans? Jesus Christ, the Word Of God. Power is inherent in the Word.

In Acts chapter 3, there was a lame man who was laid at the gate called Beautiful. Peter and John came by on their way into the temple and healed the man by the power of Jesus Christ.

At Nain, a widow woman’s only son died. Jesus came along, stopped the funeral procession, touched the casket, and raised the widow’s son from the dead. Then gave him back to his mother.

On the day of Pentecost, after Jesus’ resurrection, 3,000 souls were saved and eternal life granted by the power of Jesus Christ.

Then there was the woman at the well. Jesus told her all about herself. Told her she had five husbands and the one she had now wasn’t hers. All by the power of the Word.

WHAT IS THE WORD?

Apostle John says in John chapter one, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

This Word he refers to is Jesus Christ…
