The Marion County Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to attend the Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting and Banquet on Tuesday, September 5, at The Old Fashion Hamburger Store, 101 Market St. in Jefferson. A steak buffet is planned and the restaurant will be closed to the public to accommodate the Chamber event.
Take this opportunity to enjoy food and fellowship with fellow citizens while receiving updates from the offices of our congressional and state representatives. A highlight of the evening will be the awards presented to some of the Jeffersonians who faithfully serve our city.
Award nominees this year for Small Business of the Year are Auntie Skinner’s Riverboat Club, Brownrigg Insurance and H&H Hardware. Large Business of the Year nominees are Brookshire’s, Master Woodcraft and Norbord, while Non-Profit of the Year nominees are First United Methodist Church, Jefferson Lions Club and the Women of Jefferson Organization. Individual award finalists are Police Chief Gary Amburn, Jessie Walker, Tony & Marsha Jones, Angie Hudson and William Smith.
