From My Study by the Lake
“If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds. (Matthew 6:25-26, The Message (MSG)”
Surprises and blessings without end from my study by the lake this morning! Needing water, the baskets hanging from the porch roof overhang held a beautiful surprise. Kitty quickly with purpose speeds to the bedroom window to get a better view and to protect his home by the lake from the intrusion of such a one! So ‘laughing out loud’ funny!
All the while, the breeze gently moves the leaves of the trees in a sway of quiet praise. The wildlife movie outside my door assures me that there will be more blessings of this day to enjoy. Hence, time for me to arise and be about the tasks the Lord has gifted me to do. But wait, just before I move away from this incredible view, a bee is flying low moving from flower to flower drinking sweet nectar to make honey that God will in turn provide to feed both humans and creatures of the fields.
“All nature sings, and round me rings” God is love,…
