Just dessertsA farewell vocal concert entitled “Just Desserts!” featuring Kathleen Den Bleyker-Thomas, soprano, and

Charles Gilbert, piano, will be held on Saturday, July 22, at 7 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Excelsior House Hotel in historic downtown Jeff erson. Thomas is a familiar face in Jefferson, as she and husband Eric shared music duties at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Thomas was also the leader of Pack 220’s Webelos I group, which is based in Jefferson. She is a frequent volunteer at the Carnegie Library, having done the “Breakfast with Rudolph” musical program for the past six years. In addition to local duties, Thomas has taught at Texarkana College, Kilgore

College, Panola College and at East Texas Baptist University. She is a frequent performer for the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra as well as a soloist for the Texarkana Regional Chorale.
