Card Class is making waves at Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Card making class

It all started to cheer up some ladies in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Diana Peloquin, long-time resident, had noticed that the church was missing a time for the ladies to bond.

Peloquin started a Card Class, which is completely free and all materials are provided. Even though it was started as a Church Ladies’ group, it is open to anyone who would like to attend.

“Each meeting I choose a card design or two and take the participants through the process,” Peloquin says. “These cards are beautiful and look very impressive, but with a little direction, really, anyone can do it.”

There has been a great deal of success and fun with these cards, organizers say, adding that the ladies love them and enjoy the time spent together.

Card Classes occur the third Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, on 501 E. Jeff erson St, across from Lion’s Park. There is also a Saturday 10 a.m. group that meets. For more information, call the Church at 903-665-2883.

This month’s meetings will be Wednesday, July 19 at 10 a.m. and Saturday, July 22 at 10 a.m.
