WHAT WAS COOKIN’ By Sherry McAdoo

I confess I am a news ‘junkie’. If you come to my house, chances are that the news will be on. It is getting harder and harder to watch the destruction of our country as we know and love it. I look about me and I am so grateful that I live in this gentle and easy little town and this community. Right now flags are flying all over town in preparation and respect for Flag Day. The only thing disturbing the flags are quiet gentle breezes. Visitors come to our town to learn bits and pieces of history, not to destroy history. They come to celebrate with us various events and festivals during the year – to have a good time. In our town you know and appreciate your friends and neighbors. Stop and pause and appreciate where you are blessed to live – give thanks.
