East Texas Performing Arts, Inc. presents Doublewide, Texas, a fast-paced comedy about the smallest trailer park in Texas. When the city of Tugaloo decides to annex them, the trailer park’s collection of friends, family, and neighbors realize they must work together to defeat the encroaching annexation and “the big guys” of small-town government. Even secession from Texas is considered! The cast includes ETPA award winners Cherry Power Fisher, Amber Cullen Counts, Nicholas Counts and Tara Craver, as well as ETPA newcomers Fran Hurley and David McElhany. Sara Whitaker directs and appears as you’ve never before seen her! The show opens Friday, June 9, 7:30 p.m., and runs through Sunday, June 18, 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Marion County Chamber of Commerce, online at http://easttexasperformingarts.org/tickets/ or at the Jefferson Playhouse prior to performance.
