Craig Evers bids farewell to his final Primary Graduates

By Carla Bass – City Editor

Mr. EversCraig Evers came to Jefferson from the Harleton community and has worn several hats with Jefferson ISD over the past several years. He came here first as Math Interventionist at the Junior High. He took the position as Assistant Principal at the Primary, moving up to principal the following year. He returned to Harleton to the Junior High as the principal there, but was lured back after four years take on the position JHS Principal. He later moved back to the Primary Campus as Principal again; which he has held for the past 3 years…along with some bus driving on the side.

Evers is returning to his first calling, back to his pastoring; and as he put it, “whatever role the Lord has for me to be called do.”

He is currently pastoring at the Pope City Baptist Church near Woodlawn.

“I have enjoyed my time at Jefferson immensely. It’s a great school to be a part of, and it’s getting better every day,” he expressed.
