The dream of many people is a trip to New York, especially when the airfare and hotel accommodations are part of the package. Iconic spots to see are the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, as well as the memorial for 9/11 and the footprint of the Twin Towers.

The dream of others interested In our children in Marion County want to assure that there are funds available for the Summer Reading Program at the Jefferson Carnegie Library each summer.

NBC affiliate, KTAL Channel 6, has donated a prize package for a getaway for two to New York City to be raffled by the Jefferson Carnegie Library. It will cover your airfare and accommodations to New York with possibly tickets for THE TONIGHT SHOW starring Jimmy Fallon.

The Jefferson Carnegie Library’s support group, called Friends of the Library, have begun to sell tickets for the prize trip. The price of the chances are $25 per ticket. Members of the Friends of the Library will be on hand at every function and event that will be taking place in Jefferson to sell the tickets. Look for them during the Pilgrimage, the Cruise Nights, various car shows, anywhere that a large group is assembled between now and the Fourth of July. Tickets are also available at the Library during business hours.
The winning ticket will be drawn during the 4th of July celebration at Otstott Park…
