Around town, Aaron LeBell is a familiar figure running up and down the streets of town at an even tempo. He runs a little faster than a jog, but definitely not a sprint; steadily making his way around town uphill and down, around blocks, and clear of traffic. Most likely none of you have seen him stop. That is because Aaron is an endurance runner.
Aaron LeBell is 45 years old and was born in New Orleans. His wife of 22 years, Lindsay, is from Jefferson. He Aaron at Eastman chemical in Longview. He served a term on the Jefferson City Council.
He and his wife Lindsay have two children who graduated from JHS. Kathryne is a senior at Tulane university and Richard is a freshman at Louisiana Tech.
At Mountain Harbor Resort the 3rd Annual Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) 100 Mile Endurance Race started on Friday, February 24th at 5:00 p.m., 25 participants lined up for endurance run on the shores of Lake Ouachita at Mountain Harbor Resort East Cove Pavilion. Over the next 34 hours, they would have to cross rugged trails up and down the ridge lines south of Lake Ouachita with elevation changes totaling 40,000 feet.
Twenty-one of the original 25 men and women completed the race. Aaron finished #10 in the race. He completed the rugged terrain with a time of 28 hours and 13 minutes. With no breaks, he was running/climbing the whole time…
