The seventh and eighth graders at Jefferson Junior High have a “BizKidz” group which looks into career and entrepreneurial skills. They traveled to Hughes Springs last week to take part in an area competition.
This group of kids worked very hard to come up with a new business to benefit our community. They had to create a business plan and make the business work from the concept up to putting their idea in action.
Their business, which they developed, was the Dawg Pound Delivery Service. The primary idea of their plan allows people to order their groceries and supplies, they would pick them up, and deliver them to the purchaser.
These students gave a presentation of their business today and handled being questioned by a panel of judges like they were professionals. They brought home 1st place and will now move on to the next level of competition.
