Somewhere between the Silent Generation and the Baby Boomers there is a blend of the generation raised on “Be-Bop, the Jitterbug, and Coke Floats”. Anyone who enjoys the music of that span of entertainment will look forward to the upcoming Fund Raiser for the Jefferson Carnegie Library.
On January 28, at 6:30 p.m. the Dance Party “Stuck in the Fifties” will begin. Charge for the dance is $25 per person. They request that you join in the fun. Dress in your favorite 1950’s attire, and practice all of your dance moves.
Hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks will be available, or you can BYOB. The DJ will be providing music from 7:30 until 10:30 p.m.
Raffle tickets for great door prizes will be available for $5, but if you dress in 50’s attire you get one raffle ticket FREE.
Awards will be given for the Best Dancer and the Best Dressed.
As there will be limited seating available, take action today to purchase your tickets. The tickets are available at the Jefferson Carnegie Library or by mail requests to: Tony Jones, P.O. Box 344, Jefferson, Texas 75657.
