The Marion County Historical Commission presented its annual “Hooked on History” program on December 6th in the Ballroom of the historic Excelsior House Hotel. The event was well-attended by Marion County citizens, and featured presentations by members of the Historical Commission: “Civil War Artillery Shells” by Tom Moss, “The Great Red River Raft” by Mitchel Whitington, and “News Headlines from the Past” by John Nance. After the hour-long program had concluded, guests were treated to delicious pastries, punch and coffee catered by the Excelsior House.
