The Marion County Angel Tree program was originally started by the First National Bank.
In 1998, a group which included not only First National Bank, but Citizens National Bank and North East Texas Credit Union and Community Services of Northeast Texas Inc. formed a partnership.
In the lobby of each of the financial institutions, a decorated tree is placed. Angel Tree tags are then hung from the branches.
The Angel Tree program serves families with young children that are in need of assistance during the Christmas season.
Through the years many families have benefited from the generosity of others. As most know, it is not in the receiving of a gift, but the giving from which one gets their joy.
Angels may be selected from the trees November 29th through December 16th located at the following locations:
The First National Bank
202 North Polk, Jefferson
Northeast Texas Credit Union
302 East Broadway, Jefferson
Citizens National Bank
109 East Broadway, Jefferson
All gifts need to be delivered to the location where your Angel was selected by the end of day on December 19th, as they will be picked up by that time to be dispersed by the Community Services of Northeast Texas. Please help make this a Merry Christmas for a child in need by adopting an angel from the angel tree.
