Troop 555 of the Boy Scouts of America will be holding their Gator Bait 5K run on Sunday morning, November 6th, at 8 a.m. The run will be held on the property of Diamond Don’s on Big Cypress Bayou at 1602 Highway 49 East before reaching the Jefferson City Limits.
Currently Troup 555 is visiting with local individuals and businesses seeking sponsors for the event for those who wish to show their support for the Boy Scout organization or who do not run races. A $100 Tax Deductible Donation gets your name and company logo on the Event T-shirt as a sponsor. You may email your logo to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The money raised from the 5K will be used for merit badges, camps, camping equipment, and other Boy Scout activities. For more information, please contact: Missy Baldwin (903) 930-6508; Cristi Huntington (903) 578-1564, or Robin Gale (903) 932-5684.
You may leave sponsorship checks at Brownrigg Insurance, Jefferson Life Center, or mail them to Missy Baldwin, P.O. Box 309, Jefferson, TX 75657. Please make checks payable to Boy Scout Troup 555. The sponsorship deadline is October 26, 2016.
The race itself will be held at Diamond Don’s on the first Sunday in November. Start time is 8 a.m.
Everyone is encouraged to participate. A parent or legal guardian must register participants who are under the age of 18. Participants will each receive a T-shirt, if their registration is returned by October 26th. The registration fee is $25 per runner. Applications are available from Missy Baldwin or Robin Gale, both of whom have their numbers listed above.
Applicants may pay in cash or by check, made payable to Boy Scout Troop 555. Mail your registration and payments to Missy Baldwin, P. O. Box 309, Jefferson, Texas 75657.
If you have any questions, please call Missy Baldwin at (903) 930-6508 or to Robin Gale (903) 932-5684.
