Heritage Baptist Church is proud to welcome a new member to their Church Family.
They have just recently hired a new Assistant Pastor and wanted to introduce him to the community.
Michael Diedrich holds a BSBA in Business Administration from Thomas Edison State College, New Jersey, which he received in June of 2012. In addition, he has received his Bible Certificate from Faith Bible Institute in Monroe, LA; attended Maranatha Baptist Seminary in Wisconsin; and graduated with a Masters in Divinity from Indiana Baptist Seminary, Greenwood, Indiana in May, 2016.
His favorite portion of ministry lies in enjoy in working with children after having participated in the church bus ministries for 10 years, Nursing Home ministries, along with preaching and teaching.
Pastor Seth Buckner shared, “Bro. Michael graduated from the same college in Indiana as my wife and I did. I met him last year while I was speaking at a college event. After much prayer on both of our part, God has brought him to Jefferson. He has assumed the duties of directing music and preaching one service a week in our ministries. He is very active in community outreach, and soon he will begin a new mid-week children’s program. We are excited to have him working with our youth. My children adore him, and he has already been a tremendous influence on them. He knows how to pray and he has a vast knowledge of the Bible. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have a spiritual leader of his caliber working at our church.”
The middle child of seven, he grew up north of Detroit in Shelby Township, Michigan. He grew up in a Christian home and his father is a deacon at the Baptist Church he attended growing up.
He was homeschooled with his six siblings, with his mother as his school teacher and enjoys spending time with both friends and family.
Michael finds pleasure in playing ice hockey, basketball, and a variety of other sports. He looks forward to cheering along as a fan for the Jefferson Bulldogs. Being from Michigan, he is a fan of Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Redwings Hockey. Around here he may have to switch his hockey interests to the Mudbugs across the Louisiana line, and may need some guidance from the congregation on the selecting an appropriate NFL team with which to align his interests.
The community looks forward to welcoming Bro. Michael to the area, and making him feel right at home.
