Every two years the Bread of Life Camp Meeting is held. It was hosted by the Heritage Baptist Church of Jefferson, Texas. The meeting was held from Monday, Sept. 12 through Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
Bro. Seth Buckner is pastor at Heritage Baptist Church located at 1608 South US59 in Jefferson. More information is available online at www.BREADOFLIFESOUTHWEST.COM. He was joined by Bro. Jason Gaddis, Bro. Ken Graham, and Bro. Howard Hall.
In the past, there have been as many as forty pastors coming to help. Free motel rooms were provided for the pastors. Preachers were called from the floor. Their expected attendance included at least 11 different states and two other countries.
Their primary work here was to pack a Sea-freight Container with over 10.5 million gospel tracks to be shipped to Sierra Leone. The gospel tracts were printed by the Fellowship Tract League.
On Monday there was a 6:00 p.m. evening service. On Tuesday, after a continental breakfast there was a Morning Service at 9:00 a.m.
Loading of the container lasted from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Supper was then served at 5:00 p.m. with an evening service which started at 6:00 p.m.
Special music was provided by the Seminole String Band, whose specialty is Gospel Alabama Blue Grass. There were also several other singing groups in attendance.
